Senior Adults
adults of our community. Each week, various ministries and events take place to
more effectively meet the needs and interests of senior adults. We offer special
Bible Study classes each Sunday morning at 8:00 and 9:00. On Tuesday morning
at 10:00, our Solid Rockers Choir meets. This group is open to any senior adults
who love to sing.
Serving and Involvement
for Christ. This group leads out in nursing home ministry, tape ministry, benevolent ministry, newcomer visitation, and much more. Involvement in the Senior Adult
Ministry of Hampton Road is open to all senior adults, regardless of church
affiliation. Several of our regular participants in various trips and activities are active
members in other churches.
Bible Study Groups
Fellowship
Senior Adults. In these small groups, our Senior Adults
build close friendships and find opportunities for fellowship.
There are classes for ladies, men, and couples.
available for those interested. We offer regularly scheduled
activities ranging from game days and covered dish luncheons
to day trips and ministry opportunities. Once a month, our
seniors are invited to a dutch-treat luncheon hosted by a
member or our ministerial staff. For those who are more
adventurous, there are periodic trip to exciting places such as
Tennessee, Branson, and Israel.
Solid Rockers Choir
part of our Senior Ministry. This group which practices each
Tuesday morning at 10:00 and performs on a regular basis, is
open to any Senior Adult who would like to participate. The
choir has toured much of the United States with their most
recent tour being Florida where they had the opportunity of
singing at Disney World.
