| Hampton Road Baptist Church believes in ministry to children.
Each week, special activities, ministries, and events take place for preschoolers, elementary children, and preteens. We have an excellent staff of committed adults who understand the importance of showing children the love of Jesus Christ. Each Sunday morning, we offer an exciting Sunday School for all children while their parents are involved in application oriented Bible study groups designed specifically for their age and interest group. Preschool children ages four and younger will be involved in Sunday School from 9:00 until 11:30 while parents attend Bible Study and Worship. Kindergarten and elementary children can choose to attend Sunday School at 9:00 or at 10:30. Preteens in grades 5 and 6 will meet for Sunday School at 10:30 only. Each Sunday afternoon, TeamKid meets from 5:00 to 6:20 p.m. TeamKid is a discipleship program for children in grades 1-6 that combines Bible study and recreation. Our children’s choirs meet each Wednesday evening from 6:30 until 7:25. We have choirs for children ages three years old through sixth grade. |

We strive to provide a teaching and living environment that best suits the learning styles of our preschool children. Each time a child attends our church, they participate in learning experiences that build relationships and strengthen their senses. We seek to help the parent in laying necessary foundations for life. Most of all, we want your preschooler to know that church is a happy place. |

Baptist Church, we want children to know and understand the importance of the Bible and how it can be applied to their daily experiences. Our goal is to help children in grades 1-4 grow and mature in the spiritual and relational areas of their life. Our church has multiple programs for children. No one program is an island in itself, but all work together to provide your child with a broad scope of activities and learning experiences. |

| Preteen | |
| Preteens in
grades 5 and 6 are an important group of people at Hampton Road Baptist Church. These students have unique and specific needs as they move toward their teenage years. Our goal is to prepare Preteens for the challenges of adolescence through Bible study, retreats, camps and other special activities. We believe that as these students develop and deeper knowledge and understanding of the Bible, they will be enabled to make better choices and will more adequately understand the importance of a daily relationship with Jesus Christ. |

| Mother's Day Out | |
| Our
Mother’s Day Out meets on Mondays and Fridays from 9:00 am until 2:30 pm. We have classes for preschoolers ages 3 months through five years. Registration fee for a child attending one or two days per week is $25.00. This is payable at the beginning of each semester. Tuition is $12.00 per day. Our drop in fee is $14.00 per day. During the summer months, we offer Camp Outrageous for children who have completed kindergarten through third grade This is held on our regular Mother’s Day Out days. |
