At Hampton Road Baptist Church Children’s Ministry, we believe the Bible should never be boring, worship can be really loud and good leaders always care. Before kids head off to Middle School, we want to make sure these three things stick…
1) I can trust God no matter what because Jesus is God’s Son.
2) I need to make wise decisions.
The expectations of someone who serves the Preschoolers and Children of Hampton Road Baptist Church are very important. Our goal is to offer a safe, loving, caring environment for all children and their families. We do that through a screening process for everyone willing to serve.
1. You must be a member of Hampton Road Baptist Church for at least six months before you may serve.
2. You must complete a Criminal Background Check. Forms located here.
3. You must complete the MinistrySafe, sexual predator awareness training.
4. You must complete a Volunteer Application. Located at theroad.churchcenter.com
5. An interview will be completed by a member of the staff.
6. You must sign the Volunteer/Teacher Covenant.
There are many opportunities to serve in the Children’s Ministry. Please be in prayer for where God might use you to serve His Kingdom.

At HRBC we love families!!
“These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up. You shall bind them on your hand and they shall be as frontals on your forehead. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.” Deuteronomy 6:6-9
Our goal is to equip you, as a parent, to take what your child learns in Bible study and Sunday School and teach it, say it, model it and live it daily in your lives. Children are learning every minute of the day and we want to make sure they grown into strong adults with a relationship with Christ.
